The name’s Bond…

On Saturday 20th September, 24 SEECCC members visited the Bond Enigma Collection at a secret location somewhere in England. It was a wonderful opportunity to see a superb collection of Bond-related cars and film props not normally open to the public. We were briefed by our host, Martin, who enthralled us with stories from his involvement with the Bond films. We also saw cars from Johnny English, The Saint and Heartbeat. It was a brilliant day that ended with an excellent late lunch at the Swan in Hilborough. Donations from the club members attending raised a commendable £140 for the charities that Martin supports. Our chairperson, Mrs Mann (aka ‘M’) actually admitted that she’s never seen a Bond film – she’s now working through the full box set of 26! Martin has offered us a return visit so, if there is enough interest, we will plan this for a later date for those who were unable to make it on Saturday.
