Bring your classic car and picnic for a fabulous day out in the grounds of this magnificent venue. There is something for everyone at Bressingham: Take a trip on one of the four railways; get close to the mighty steam engines in the locomotive shed; and ride on the magnificent and historic gallopers. Wander through Walmington -on-Sea\, home to a collection of Dad’s Army displays and vehicles. Enjoy the unique 17-acre Bressingham gardens\, this wonderful collection was started by entrepreneur Alan Bloom\, opening his doors to the public 60 years ago. We start the day by meeting for breakfast at the Downham Home & Garden Store\, Stone Cross Road\, Downham Market\, PE38 0AD\, at 9.30am. Tea/coffee\, English breakfast and bacon baps will be available if required.Please book your place for Drive it Day ASAP because numbers are required. The Club has been given a special entrance fee of £9.00 per person (inclusive of rides on the train & Gallopers). SUMMARY:Annual Classic Car Run
DESCRIPTION:We would like to invite you to enter our 28th Annual Classic Car Run. Starting from Silk Willoughby\, just off the A15 south of Sleaford\, we make our way across the fens to the Lincolnshire Wolds AONB and lunch at Woodhall Spa. After lunch we head to the Heckington Windmill Visitor Centre. \nWe meet at Pennells Four Seasons Garden Centre\, London Road\, Silk Willoughby NG34 8NY. Registration starts at 9am and will be welcomed with tea/coffee. A bacon\, sausage or vegetarian bap may be pre-ordered if required at an additional cost of £6 per person. Please indicate on the entry form if you require this option. Pre-ordering ensures a more efficient service and help us to make a timely start. We will begin to depart at 10am. \nLunch is at the Petwood Hotel Stixwould Road Woodhall Spa\, LN10 6QG. A two-course lunch (table service) is available to pre-order at a cost of £25 per person (menu choices are shown below). Parking for those who wish to bring a picnic is available in a dedicated area within the grounds of Jubilee Park\, Stixwould Rd\, Woodhall Spa\, LN10 6QH\, which is immediately opposite the hotel. A service charge for the use of the facilities is included in your entry fee. We will regroup in the hotel car park prior to our planned departure at around 2pm. We end our day at the Heckington Windmill Visitor Centre\, Hale Road\, Heckington\, NG34 9JW. \nAs usual\, we will present the ‘Lyon’s Pride Trophy’ in memory of Alan Lyon\, a long-time organiser of this event. To be decided by the organising committee\, this ‘pride of ownership award’ will be held by the winner for one year (open to SEECCC members only). We will also present our ‘Car of the Day’ award; open to everyone\, as voted for by fellow entrants\, for the car they would most like to take home. The winner receives a trophy to keep and be offered free entry into next year’s event.  \nThe entry fee is £38.00 per car. The event will be supporting the club’s chosen charity: Prostate Cancer UK.
