Thanks to Jean & Paul Pollard for organising our pub night out at The Chequers at Weston on 23rd. There was a good turnout and we enjoyed some excellent food.
Thank you also to Steve LeSage & Colin Langwade for arranging the Norfolk Trundle to Castle Rising Tea Rooms and The Aviator at Sculthorpe – and all points in between – on September 12th. And to all who supported the event.
Huge thanks to Jenny & Trevor Overson in particular but also to Joy & Nigel Mann and all involved in putting together another successful Club trip, this time to the excellent Headlam Hall Hotel in County Durham during the first few days of the month. In all, 23 members made the journey north to enjoy the hotel and its locality, with a 70 mile driving route across some spectacular scenery a specific highlight on the Tuesday. Terrific, warm, summery weather added to the enjoyment.
Thanks to Alan & Jackie Aistrup for organising the Club’s Annual Classic Car Run. The event attracted over 70 entries, running from Silk Willoughby via a lunch halt at Hemswell to the finish in Lincoln.
Congratulations to Roger Longmate (pictured below, top & centre) on winning Car of the Day in his immaculate Jaguar XK120 and to David Fisher (bottom) for taking the Lyon’s Pride award in his fabulous Jaguar E-type.

Also this month our club night is – unusually – on Thursday 23rd September when we have a pub night at The Chequers in Weston.
