Sunday 11th June - SEECCC Annual Classic Car Run

This year our 20th Anuual Classic Car Run will start at Surfleet, and take a route through pleasant Lincolnshire villages, countryside and places of interest, on mainly rural roads, northwards to Branston, south of Lincoln and finish with spectacular views over the Vale of Belvoir from our reserved car park on the terrace of Belvoir Castle.

The start venue will be Spalding Golf Club at Surfleet, PE11 4EA (http://spaldinggolfclub.co.uk), where you will be welcomed with tea, coffee and biscuits. Breakfast baps or a full breakfast will be available; please pre-order directly with the Golf Club by calling 01775 680386.  Registration will open at 9am with cars starting to leave at approximately 10am.

Our lunch halt will be at Branston Hall Hotel, Branston, nr Lincoln, LN4 1PD (http://branstonhall.com). There will be a pre-booked meal, priced at £16.95 per person, which will be waiter served in The Churchill Suite. Dining in is highly recommended as the restaurant has an excellent reputation. For those who wish to picnic, there is limited space within our dedicated car park in the hotel grounds

The event will finish at Belvoir Castle (http://belvoircastle.com). The castle sits in the heart of the Vale of Belvoir and has been the home of The Duke of Rutland’s family since 1067. It is the fourth castle to stand on the site and is one of the finest examples of Regency architecture in the world. The entry fee includes reserved parking on the castle terrace plus access for two people to the grounds, and gardens.

As usual, we will present the “Car of the Day” award, voted for by the entrants for the car they would most like to take home. The winner will receive a trophy to keep and free entry into next year’s event. The “Lyon’s Pride Trophy” will also be presented. It is awarded by the organising committee in memory of Alan Lyon, a long time organiser of this event, and held by the winner for one year.

We hope you will be interested in entering the Run and meeting up with friends and other classic car owners. To aid administration, please return your entry form, meal choices and payment as soon as possible, but please note that if you pay by cheque it will not be presented for banking before 11th May 2017.
